Welcome to Lord of the Rings

Set in the medieval times, Lord of the Rings is a table top game based on the popular movies and series of books. You are the chosen one, you command vast legions of troops, great daemons, or horrid masses. You fight battles against other generals and in the end one of you is victorious!

There are two aspects to the hobby. The first is playing the actual game where you field your ‘soldiers’. The game itself has aspects of Risk and chess. Risk in that you roll dice for attack and defence. Chess, in that each piece has a point value and can do certain actions, and that strategy is involved. The second aspect of the hobby is the painting of your ‘soldiers’, or miniatures as everything comes unpainted. You can create an army in the colours you choose! Additionally, there is the creation of scenery, which you will want for your battles to take place around.
